We are to love the Father and Son!

1John Chapter 5:1 (KJV)

1Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and every one that loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of him.

In order to be born again, one must believe that Jehoshua is the Messiah (anointed of Jehovah God). Those who love the Father who begat (brought/bring forth- Greek Strongs 1080) the Son, love also the Son who was begotten (born, brought forth- Greek Strongs 1080)  from the Father. This passage shows the Father-Son relationship between Jehovah and Jehoshua and that the source of this relationship is that the Father brought forth Jehoshua (begat) and this is the primary reason we are to love and honour the Son just as much as we are the Father.

The begetting of the Son as scripture over and over again declares was prior to His birth in Bethlehem. This is why scripture declares that God had a Son to send to the world. Proverbs 8:22-31 and Hebrews 1 details this begetting of the Son in the ages of eternity. Far more scriptures also speak of this.

It is primarily Jehoshua's Sonship that gives Him the right to be honoured, worshipped and loved just as much of the Father. If Jehoshua's very being didn't come from the Father's substance then worship of Him would be worshipping another god which is idolatry and forbidden by the Torah. Let's look at what the Son of God has to say about being honoured the same way as the Father.

John 5:23 (KJV)

23That all men should honour the Son, even as they honour the Father. He that honoureth not the Son honoureth not the Father which hath sent him.

Jehoshua says that if we don't honour Him then we don't honour the Father. This statement by the Son of God makes it clear that we are safe in worshipping Him the way we worship the Father. Jehoshua's words to describe Himself and God are "Son" and "Father". This is why it is safe to worship Jehoshua because He is the literal Son of God Almighty. This is what gives Him His eqaulity with the Father in that He is a true begotten Son made of the same divine substance.

Let's backtrack a few verses in John 5 and see why Jehoshua's claim of Sonship enraged the Jews.

John 5:18 (KJV)

18Therefore the Jews sought the more to kill him, because he not only had broken the sabbath, but said also that God was his Father, making himself equal with God.

In the Jews eyes, it wasn't Messiah saying that He himself was the Almighty God that made Him eqaul with the Father but rather it was Jehoshua's claim of Sonship that made Him eqaul. Today's Churches would have you believe that in order to be eqaul with God that Jehoshua has to Himself be the Almighty God also and to have always existed, however scripture nowhere says this. Quite the opposite infact, it is solely due to Messiah's Sonship that makes Him eqaul with God.

Philippians 2:5-7 (KJV)

5Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:6Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:7But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:

Jehoshua was in the form of God prior to His earthly life. Notice it doesn't say that He Himself was God Almighty but rather in the form of God Almighty.

The greek word for "form" is "morphe" (Strongs 3444) and means "the form by which a person or thing  strikes the vision, external appearance"

This means that Jehoshua before His earthly life looked in external appearance just like God Almighty hence Hebrews 1:3 describes Jehoshua like this:

"Who being the brightness of His (The Father's) glory, and the express image of His person"

So Jehoshua was not only in the form of God in His pre-existence but the express image (exact representation, exact expression) of His Father's person.

This is precisely what gives Jehoshua is eqaulity with the Father. How is Jehoshua the form and express image of the Father?

The only scriptural explanation is that Jehoshua at some point in eternity was literally brought forth from the Father as scripture over and over again attests.

If Jehoshua was in the form of God before He ever came to earth and if the only way He can be in the form of God is by being literally begotten from the Father then this solidifies His pre-existent identity as the literal Son of God. If Jehoshua is His own Almighty eternal God then that would mean that He and the Father are twins and not a real Father-Son. They would be considered twins as they look just like each other (form of God, express image). This my friends would be having two Almighty God's and would be a violation of the first commandment and the Shema (Deuteronomy 6;4-8).

When we worship the Father and Son we are worshipping One God. How can I say this with assurance?

Picture the Father as a great big Mountain and picture the Son as a Giant Stone which is cut out of the Mountain (the Father). The Stone is not different or even seperate from the Mountain in attributes but is "OF" the Mountain in it's properties (substance). The Stone is an extension of the Mountain. How you value the Stone is how you the Mountain that it comes from.

Daniel 2:45 (KJV)

45Forasmuch as thou sawest that the stone was cut out of the mountain without hands, and that it brake in pieces the iron, the brass, the clay, the silver, and the gold; the great God hath made known to the king what shall come to pass hereafter: and the dream is certain, and the interpretation thereof sure.

The Stone is Messiah, the Mountain is the Father. The Stone (Messiah) will be the extension of the Father's wrath in the great and terrible day of Jehovah. It is also called the wrath of the Lamb. This shows the oneness of the Father and Son (Revelation 6:16, Revelation 19:15).

The Father's name is in the Son and those who confess that Jehoshua is Jehovah will glorify the Father.

Philipians 2:9-11

9Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a surname which is above every name:10That at the name of Jehoshua every knee should bow, of things celestially, and things terrestrially, and things subterraneanly;11And that every tongue should confess Jehovah Jehoshua Messiah to the honour of God the Father.

This is a more accurate rendering of Philippians 2:9-11.

Worship of the Son doesn't not violate the 1st Commandment or the Shema as Jehoshua falls under Godship of His Father the Unbegotten God, Himself being the only Begotten God.

John 1:18 (NASB)

18 No one has seen God at any time; the only begotten God who is in the bosom of the Father, He has explained Him.

We have the one true God the Father, Unbegotten and we have one Begotten God, who is His Son making a united Godhead (Elohim). The Holy Spirit which proceedeth from the Father and Son is the fulness of their (Father-Son) Godhead (divinity) in Spirit. While we worship the Father and Son, we don't worship their Spirit as their Spirit is not a literal being but rather their personal presence with us.

In the Godhead there is only one true God who is the Father, however He gave His Godhead (Divinity) to His Son (John 5:26).

The Begotten God (Jehoshua) is an extension of the Unbegotten God (Jah) so when we give our praise and worship to both of them as we will in eternity we are in essence giving our worship to one God albeit two distinct beings as the Father and Son are echad (United).

Revelation 21:3 (KJV)

23And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.

Jehoshua is the shekinah glory of the Father (Hebrews 1:3). Just as the Stone is the extension of the Mountain, the sun rays are the extension of the Sun. Jehoshua is described in these two ways in relationship to the Father.

Revelation 5:13 (KJV)

13And every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying, Blessing, and honour, and glory, and power, be unto him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever.

Worship of all creation is to be given to the Father and Son, Hallelujah!

Revelation 14:1 (ASV)

1And I saw, and behold, the Lamb standing on the mount Zion, and with him a hundred and forty and four thousand, having his name, and the name of his Father, written on their foreheads.

144, 000 will the Father and Son's name written on their foreheads. This denotes who the 144,000 worship. The Father and Son share the same name Jehovah. The Son of God's name Jehoshua has the prefix of His Father's name in it (Jeho). Remember, the Son inherited the Father's name upon being begotten by the Father  (Hebrews 1:4). In these last days those who call on the name of Jehovah will be saved:

Joel 2:32 (ASV)

32And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of Jehovah shall be delivered; for in mount Zion and in Jerusalem there shall be those that escape, as Jehovah hath said, and among the remnant those whom Jehovah doth call.

When we call on the name Jehovah we will be saved. Calling on this name includes calling on both the Father and Son. We cannot have salvation without either the Father or Son. We see a passage in Genesis where two Jehovah's bring destruction upon Sodom and Gomorrha:

Genesis 19:24 (ASV)

24Then Jehovah rained upon Sodom and upon Gomorrah brimstone and fire from Jehovah out of heaven;

This is also a picture of the final destruction of the wicked as Jehovah the Son will rain down fire and brimstone from Jehovah the Father out of heaven.

Jeremiah 23:5-6 (ASV)

5Behold, the days come, saith Jehovah, that I will raise unto David a righteous Branch, and he shall reign as king and deal wisely, and shall execute justice and righteousness in the land.

6In his days Judah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell safely; and this is his name whereby he shall be called: Jehovah our righteousness.

Jehovah our Righteousness - this is the name by which our Saviour will be called in the new millennium. In the city of New Jerusalem where Jehovah the Father will ultimately establish His throne among this earth made new, His name will be Jehovah Shammah, "Jehovah is There":

Ezekiel 48:35 (ASV)

35It shall be eighteen thousand reeds round about: and the name of the city from that day shall be, Jehovah is there.

Revelation 3:12 (KJV)

12Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name.

The redeemed of all time will have the name of the Father, Son and New Jerusalem written on their foreheads.

Isaiah 26:1-4 (ASV)

1In that day shall this song be sung in the land of Judah: we have a strong city; salvation will he appoint for walls and bulwarks.2Open ye the gates, that the righteous nation which keepeth faith may enter in.3Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee; because he trusteth in thee.4Trust ye in Jehovah for ever; for Jah Jehovah is an everlasting rock .

Jeremiah 23:23-27 (ASV)

23Am I a God at hand, saith Jehovah, and not a God afar off?24Can any hide himself in secret places so that I shall not see him? saith Jehovah. Do not I fill heaven and earth? saith Jehovah.25I have heard what the prophets have said, that prophesy lies in my name, saying, I have dreamed, I have dreamed.26How long shall this be in the heart of the prophets that prophesy lies, even the prophets of the deceit of their own heart?27that think to cause my people to forget my name by their dreams which they tell every man to his neighbor, as their fathers forgat my name for Baal.

As Israel forsook Jehovah through the worship of Baal, Jeremiah prophesied that a similar neglect of His name would occur in the latter days through the exclusive use of the name "Lord" (Baal).

Isaiah 42:8 (ASV)

8I am Jehovah, that is my name; and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise unto graven images.

Jehovah will not give His glory to any other gods whether they be the false god of Islam or any other religion.

Isaiah 62:1-8 (ASV)

1For Zion`s sake will I not hold my peace, and for Jerusalem`s sake I will not rest, until her righteousness go forth as brightness, and her salvation as a lamp that burneth.2And the nations shall see thy righteousness, and all kings thy glory, and thou shalt be called by a new name, which the mouth of Jehovah shall name.3Thou shalt also be a crown of beauty in the hand of Jehovah, and a royal diadem in the hand of thy God.4Thou shalt no more be termed Forsaken; neither shall thy land any more be termed Desolate: but thou shalt be called Hephzi-bah, and thy land Beulah; for Jehovah delighteth in thee, and thy land shall be married.5For as a young man marrieth a virgin, so shall thy sons marry thee; and as the bridegroom rejoiceth over the bride, so shall thy God rejoice over thee.6I have set watchmen upon thy walls, O Jerusalem; they shall never hold their peace day nor night: ye that are Jehovah`s remembrancers, take ye no rest,7and give him no rest, till he establish, and till he make Jerusalem a praise in the earth.

A new name - Jehovah's elect - will be granted a new designation by virtue of their new role in the New Jerusalem : "Jehovah Shammah". "Jehovah Is There" (Ezekiel 48:35).

Daniel 9;19 (ASV)

.19O Jehovah, hear; O Jehovah, forgive; O Jehovah, hearken and do; defer not, for thine own sake, O my God, because thy city and thy people are called by thy name.20

Just as the Sabbath serves as a sign of His saints (Exodus 31:13), Jehovah's name serves as a seal for His saints (Revelation 14:1, 12).

Revelation 22:3-4 (KJV)

3And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him:4And they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads.

We will see the face of Jehovah God Almighty and His name will be in our foreheads. The name Jehovah is our Father's name which was also given to His Son.

Now from the pen of Jehovah's Messenger:

"The world's Redeemer was equal with God. His authority was as the authority of God. He declared that He had no existence separate from the Father. The authority by which He spoke, and wrought miracles, was expressly His own, yet He assures us that He and the Father are one.—The Review and Herald, January 7, 1890, p. 1. 7ABC 439.1

Jehovah, the eternal, self-existent, uncreated One, Himself the Source and Sustainer of all, is alone entitled to supreme reverence and worship.—Patriarchs and Prophets, 305. 7ABC 439.2

Jehovah is the name given to Christ. “Behold, God is my salvation,” writes the prophet Isaiah; “I will trust, and not be afraid; for the Lord Jehovah is my strength and my song; He also is become my salvation. Therefore with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation. And in that day ye shall say, Praise the Lord, call upon His name, declare His doings among the people, make mention that His name is exalted.” “In that day shall this song be sung in the land of Judah: We have a strong city; salvation will God appoint for walls and bulwarks. Open ye the gates, that the righteous nation which keepeth the truth may enter in. Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on Thee, because he trusteth in Thee. Trust ye in the Lord forever; for in the Lord Jehovah is everlasting strength.”—The Signs of the Times, May 3, 1899, p. 2. 7ABC 439.3

The heavenly gates are again to be lifted up, and with ten thousand times ten thousand and thousands of thousands of holy ones, our Saviour will come forth as King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Jehovah Immanuel “shall be King over all the earth; in that day shall there be one Lord, and His name one.”—Thoughts from the Mount of Blessing, 108. 7ABC 439.4

This is the reward of all who follow Christ. Jehovah Emmanuel—He “in whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge,” in whom dwells “all the fulness of the Godhead bodily” (Colossians 2:3, 9)—to be brought into sympathy with Him, to know Him, to possess Him, as the heart opens more and more to receive His attributes; to know His love and power, to possess the unsearchable riches of Christ, to comprehend more and more “what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; and to know 7ABC 439.5
