The Leaven of Politics, War and Patriotism-Slightly revised

Beware of Churches that entangle themselves in Politics and promote War mongering. Jesus said pray for the peace of Israel not get involved in the politics of it.


One bad thread of leaven in the Church will pollute the pure gospel of Jesus Christ. That bad thread could be politics, Patriotism, love of money and material gain, the philosophies of Man etc.

That's why I don't get involved in Politics in as much as supporting parties or causes and even voting. The Visible Church has proven time and again that it can't handle the power that comes with State Government when it has it in it's hands. They end up persecuting those they deem heretics. I will simply wait for Jesus to come back and reign with him a thousand years in his perfect government.

Revelation 20:6
"Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years."

 

The Protestant reformation didn't go nearly far enough in breaking away from the false teachings and doctrines of the Catholic Church. In fact, the Protestants quickly used the same means that Rome used in quieting dissenters. They used the force of the State Government to persecute true Bible believing brethren such as the Anabaptists by arresting those who baptized adults and eventually killing those who joined the Anabaptists. This type of persecution by So called Christians is unbiblical no matter who the persecution is against whether muslim, buddhist etc. Take John Calvin for instance, having Michael Servetus killed for differing beliefs. That was Calvin's moment of apostasy. No where did Jesus or his apostles advocate picking up the literal or political sword against those who they disagreed with.

Those who draw the sword die by the sword. We as Christians are not to pick up the sword of war. Can you imagine being a Christian from say America and going to war with another country say China and then being asked to kill a fellow Christian by your unbelieving commanding officer. The Body of Christ knows no national borders and are brother/sister hood is international (worldwide) not National. Our fellow citizens here in U.S. are not our Brothers and sisters unless ofcourse they are Born Again. Our Brothers and Sisters are those in Christ no matter what country they reside in and our loyalty after our Lord of course is to them not to those who happen to live here in U.S but are unbelievers or even to the Flag. So when asked to kill a fellow Christian from another country in the name of war and Patriotism do obey Man or God? If we are soldiers for Christ then what do we have to do with the affairs of the world?

Phillipians 3:20

"For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ"

Freedom is an internal state not an external one. Even if we continue to lose our freedoms here in USA as Christians we are still free in Christ Jesus.

Romans 8:2
"For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death."

"Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage."

Are politics an affair of this life? I think we could all agree that they are, so why do so many Institutional Churches insist on being part of it and promoting political parties, causes and candidates? Because they seek to have their will enforced via the sword of Politics and have their own "Heaven on earth" ignoring Jesus words that his Kingdom is not of this World. So you can either believe the Franklin Graham's and Jack Hibbs of this world who are bringing in the leaven of politics and Patriotism into the Church thereby polluting the pure gospel of Jesus Christ which is a gospel of peace. Just look at the fruits of these Churches and Christians who align themselves in the evil world of Politics. The fruit is discord, animosity, hate especially towards illegal immigrants and muslims and also war mongering (research manifest destiny ideology). We are soldiers for Christ not any country here on earth which is under the rule of Satan. So if your Church fellowship is entangling themselves in the dark and deceptive world of politics RUN and don't look back lest you be like Lot's wife!

2nd Timothy 2 : 3-5 " You therefore must endure hardship as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. No one engaged in warfare entangles himself with the affairs of this life, that he may please him who enlisted him as a soldier. And also if anyone competes in athletics, he is not crowned unless he competes according to the rules."

Forsaking all for the Pearl of Great Price

Matthew 13:44-46
"Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto treasure hid in a field; the which when a man hath found, he hideth, and for joy thereof goeth and selleth all that he hath, and buyeth that field

Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a merchant man, seeking goodly pearls:

Who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had, and bought it."

Are you willing to forsake all to follow Jesus and obtain the pearl of great price and hidden treasure (our salvation and walk with God in order to enter the Kingdom of Heaven)? The love of this world, unbelieving family and friends, your material possessions, your career, your endeavors in education, your love of sports and entertainment and the list goes on and on. I submit to you that if are not willing to do this you may want to examine yourself to see
if you be in the faith

2nd Corinthians 13:5
 "Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?"
  Notice that many of Jesus followers forsook all to follow him yet many in today's Laodicean Institutional Christianity hold on to their worldly possessions for dear life even though those very things are a burden around their neck keeping them from being in full devotion to Jesus Christ. Remember what Jesus said about laying up for yourselves treasures on earth where moth and rust destroy and where theives break in and steal. But rather he said to store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves break in and steal. Where your treasure is your heart is:

Matthew 6:19-21
"Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:

But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also."

 

Earthly Treasure=Houses, Cars, money, clothes, other material possessions, position in this life either via education or in the corporate world etc.

Heavenly Treasure=saving souls, discipling, bearing the brethen's burdens, love, the work of the ministry furthering the Kingdom of God, baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, preaching the gospel unto all the world.
 

 

Scattered Sheep

Matthew 9 : 36
"But when He saw the multitudes, He was moved with compassion for them, because they were weary and scattered, like sheep having no shepherd."

Jesus had compassion on those who were scattered as sheep without sheperds. Just as today there are many sheep scattered throughout the land as they are no longer attending Institutional Churches. A lot times this is because of corruption and abuses in the Churches due to the Nicolaitan style of leadership. False teaching has crept into many Institutional Church fellowships which has caused many discerning believers to come out from among them. However Jesus has compassion on those who have been labeled outcast by the Religious mainstream.

If you are outside the 501 C 3 Corporate Institutional church system, take heart as you are not alone. I strongly encourage you to start a Home church fellowship at your house, remember that is the origin of the Church and also its future as the Great apostasy of the Church is here. Trying to find a good bible believing church in American Laodicea is like finding a needle in a haystack these days. Don't be intimidated by learned men with their seminary degrees you have the same holy spirit they say they have and its God who calls those to the ministry not seminary or a man. Being a Pastor is a lifestyle not a corporate job. In fact seminary can often be a hindrance as they teach their hand me down doctrines.

Revelation 18:4 "And I heard another voice from heaven saying, " Come out of her, my people, lest you share in her sins, and lest you receive of her plagues."

Over working

Exodus 20:8-11

Good principle to apply in our lives today. Do not over work, get your rest so that weariness doesn't overcome you. In the parable of the sower and the seed, the cares of this world was one of the things that choked out the word of God in some people's lives. Over working easily has this effect on believers. Having gainful employment is good but when you become a slave to it that's when your walk with our Lord Jesus suffers. We can spend our whole lives striving for upward mobility in the Corporate world and striving to get the next degree in University. But what do those things contribute to doing the work of Preaching which we are all called to:

Matthew 24:14 "And this gospel in the Kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations and then the end will come."

I wonder how Jesus would treat illegal immigrants. Disgusting to see so called Christians have bigotry towards those who are seeking a better life. Let's not forget that many of us are son's and daughter's of immigrants. Yeah I know there are some that come here with bad intentions but that doesn't mean we live in fear. These bad intentioned immigrants are far outnumbered by those who come with hopes of a better life. As Christians our mindset should be focused on giving t...hem the Gospel not being worried about the benefits they will get from the government.

Why aren't we as Christians calling out those Rich people-CEO's, Pastor's, religous institutions and corporations that are taking us to court and hording treasure on this earth? Why are we allowing rich Pastor's to skew our view of the poor and immigrants? We as Christians are letting the Rich manipulate us into turning against the poor and less fortunate? In essence they have us the sheep of God doing their dirty work as foot soldiers for right wing politics and causing us to have a lack of love for the poor and immigrant in their midst. Do you have love for the least of these as Jesus said or do you take on the attitiude of your obsessed with politics Pastor's

The Discipline of children

Ephesians 6:4

Now for a balanced approach to parenting, many parents in Christendom justify beating their kids with the scripture about not sparing the rod. However, ever thought that maybe the rod of discipline may not always be physical? Ever thought that maybe there is a better way to discipline your child than beating them with a belt? Giving your child the rod doesn't necessarily mean you have to lay hands on them. Often times that is the easy way out for a parent. Rather than take time to teach them it can be easy to rely on physical discipline. I'm not saying physical discipline is never to be used but it should always be a last resort and not your first instinct. There is a myth that just because you spank your kids they will turn out obedient. I have seen all instances where physically disciplined kids are rebellious and also where they are very obedient, flipside is also true as kids who don't get physical discipline are rebellious and also obedient. Remember we want our children to know the goodness of God that leads to repentance not a God that is cruel.

I have met many a person who had parents that took discipline overboard and it severely stumbled their walk with Christ. Check out calvarychapelabuse.com for some testimony of this from a pastors son.
Again physical discipline may be needed at some point but don't be trigger happy with it and just as we as parents want our God to be gentle in his chastisement of us when we fall let's show that, same gentleness to our children. Remember the scripture Philippians 4:5 "Let your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord is at hand."
 

 

Giving the gospel free of charge

Matthew 10:5-10

Two things spoke to me here:
1) Verse 8. For us today same applies as we have freely been given salvation by God and the preaching of the gospel by Men of God. We in turn are supposed to give those in our midst the word of God freely and without charge. Our motives are to be pure and not seek material gain for our preaching of the gospel. Notice though in verse 10 it says a worker is worthy of his food, so those who preach and labor for the gospel are to be provided for however not in the sense of how many of today's Pastors are provided for to the point where they are fleecing the flock and living soft and Luxurious lifestyles=uncleanness. I believe those who labor for the gospel should be provided for in the sense of need and also everyday living. Can you imagine the stench in God's nostrils when he sees Pastor's accumulating big houses, luxury cars and 6 figure incomes. This flies right in the face of how the apostles lived.

2) Verse 9 and 10 indicates that the apostles traveled light in their preaching campaign. We also need to travel light in not only doing the work of God but also as we run this race toward the upward call of Christ Jesus. We need to run light in living our lives so as not accumulate treasures here on earth but rather build our treasures in Heaven which comes from doing the labor of the gospel snd being a disciple of Christ. Remember we can't take any of these wordly possessions with us so why invest in them and give them undue attention. The eternal reward in Heaven is far greater than any earthly riches can provide.
 

The least of these

Let's be mindful how we treat those that fit this profile, also, many immigrants coming over are single mothers. Let's give them the same compassion we would want for us and our loved ones. With so much focus on Israel and the Jewish people we must not forget that we have neighbors to the south (Mexico) that are in the crossfires of a Drug war. I know Jesus loves them as much as he loves the Jewish people.

Exodus 22: 22-24

 

We are ALL called to Preach the Gospel!

2 Timothy 4:2
"Preach the Word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching."

The above scripture is clear that Convincing, rebuking, exhorting & teaching are all components of Preaching.

 Convincing is when we preach to unbelievers whether door to door, in the streets or at a park & even in congregations when brothers/sisters gather together & a unbeliever happens to attend your gatherings. As you know, not all of those that go to our fellowships are baptized Christians, some may not even be studying to be one so therefore when our elders are giving their talks if they are using scripture then what they are doing is preaching. To believers, their talks are teaching them but to unbelievers their talks are trying to convince them. So yes it is preaching when we are trying to convince unbelievers or when giving bible studies when discipling those who have come to faith in Christ or bible studies to those considering conversion, that teaching we are giving to other believers or potential converts is considered a form of Preaching if we are using scripture.

 Rebuking is also a form of Preaching as in order to rebuke someone you need to use scripture to justify the rebuke. The rebuking is normally for other believers when they commit sin. Scripture will need to be used to show the brother/sister in sin why they are wrong & need to repent. This rebuking could also be used to an unbeliever when they are persecuting you.

 Exhorting is also a form of Preaching as this is used to encourage other believers to be steadfast in their walk with God & to continue in the work of the ministry by using scripture. Exhortation can also be used for potential converts for the purpose of bringing them to faith in Christ.

 Teaching is also a form of Preaching when based on scripture, this form of preaching is mostly used for believers however it is also used for potential converts who are interested in learning God's word. ALL Baptized Christians are called to preach the Gospel, there is no clergy/laity distinction here. ALL Baptized Christians are ministers of the gospel.

Matthew 24 : 14
"And this gospel of the Kingdom will be preached in all the world as witness yo all the nations l, and then the end will come."

Tell me, how can this be done if we are relying soley on Pastor's, Elders etc. To do this? After all, they are primarily preaching (teaching) to the congregations most of which consist of already saved Christians. Their primary responsibility is to equip the saints for the work of the ministry so that we can go out and fufill the great commission. Of course the Elders (Bishop's, Deacons, Pastors included) are to be doing the work of preacing to the lost as well.

 Matthew 28: 19-20
"Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things I have command you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Amen.

Uncleanness

I wanted to share this pasage of scripture. It's regarding "uncleanness". The book is 1st Thessalonians chapter 2. "Uncleanness" mentioned in verse 3. Uncleanliness here is talking about soft and Luxurious living, meaning they weren't bringing the gospel with the intent of material gain or asking for money. The inference here is that those who preach the gospel with the intent of material gain have the Sin of "uncleanness". In other words, we are not to get rich off the gospel. Full time ministers are to live humbly and modestly as a worker is worthy of his wages. Verse 5 reiterates that they didn't bring the gospel under the cloak of covetousness (desiring the material goods of those they brought the gospel to). Notice that they use the word "cloak" which denotes deceitful means ny which they preach the gospel. They come as concerned for your souls but really are concerned how they can plunder your goods. The use flattering words when preaching (a watered down version of the gospel). They seek to itch the ears of those they preach to.

 
Matthew 10:8
"Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons. Freely you have received, freely give."

When anyone preaches the gospel they are not to ask for money, that would be Contrary to what Jesus said "freely give". However we are to give from a willing and joyful heart to those who minister full time so as to take care of their daily needs and a little more. We also give to those brothers and sisters in our midst who are in need and even to the poor who are unbelievers. As good stewards of what God gave us we use discernment when giving making sure that it is furthering the gospel not building a religous leaders empire.
 

 

 

Christian Family

Matthew 12:46-50

Here is scripture to prove Jesus had brothers which totally detroys the wicked teaching of the Catholic Church that Mary was a perpetual virgin. Also, note that Jesus said those who do the will of God are his mother and brothers. In this case, blood is not thicker than water. We are to love our brothers and sisters in Christ with a fervent love just as we would our natural family and even moreso if our natural family isn't saved.

Where do we place our Hope?

1 Timothy 1:1 & Colossians 1:3-6

My hope is not in this world, whether it is a Job, Education, government, politicians, sports, entertainment, friends and even family. My hope is strictly in Jehovah and Jesus Christ and their Kingdom as told to us in the scriptures below.

The book of Revelation and it's exciting climax!!

For some, the end of this system of things (current world system) brings fear because their hope is in this world (man's government) rather than the Kingdom of God. However for us who believe, we are to be excited for the return of Christ in all his glory and judgment on the earth to those who pierced him. The word of God says we are blessed when we understand the words of Revelation and keep the things in it. Lying pulpit preachers who say we are not to concern ourselves with the end times contradict the infallible word of God. Rick Warren is one such man. See the world wants things to continue as is because they are enjoying their Sin and they deep down know that once Christ returns he will have none of it for he is Holy. Jesus Christ doesn't change just because some liberal activists try to redefine morality. These activists may have their cake now but once our Lord returns they won't be able to eat it.

For us who believe we having nothing to fear in these end times and we actually should look forward to it with open arms as it means we will reign with Christ for a thousand years in heaven and then after be with him in eternity in this very earth made new (Matthew 5:5). Imagine once this system of things passes away no more gang or drug violence (gang members and drug dealers), no more sexual immorality (adultery, fornication, Homosexuality), no more idolatry (think false religion), no more greed ( corporate world), no more crooked politicians, no more abusive cops, no more war, no more violence, no more rebellious citizens, no more witchcraft, no more sorcery (drug use), no more haters of God and this list goes on. Who wouldn't want to live in that world? So while many may want to hold on to this world for dear life we as Christians are willing to lose our life in this world (by dying to our desires of the flesh, love of money, position, popularity, advancement in career and sexual sin) so that we may gain it in the Kingdom of Heaven (eternity with Jehovah and Jesus in paradise earth).

Brethren being persecuted by False Brethren and the Road to Babylon

Matthew 10 :17
"But beware of men: for they will deliver you up to the councils, and they will scourge you in their synagogues;"

I truly believe that in the days coming ahead that the Institutional Churches (Denominational and so called Non Denominational) will persecute Bible believing Christians who are outside the 501 C 3 Church system. Already you have had Pastors of these Institutional Churches call Home Church Fellowships "cults". These Pastors hate when believers start their own home fellowships as they see them as a threat to their Empire.  Already Institutional Christendom has taken on a War mindset against their enemies.  Right now these enemies are those from without (Islam, LGBT community, Obama etc.).  Don't think for one minute that they won't turn the War Drum on us who choose to worship our Lord outside of their stated services and Psuedo Temple's made with man's hands.  Those of us who choose not to kiss the ring finger of a Pastor.  If history tells us anything, it is that whenever a so called "Church" gets any kind of political power or favor they quickly persecute dissenting Christians outside the Apostate Institutional system.  Just look at the Reformers and Catholics,  they killed each other and persecuted brethren such as the Anabaptists who were outside of the "Church" system.

This will happen again as the Great Whore of Babylon (Catholicism) gathers her daughters (Denominations of Christendom) along with the False Religions of the world under her wings.  The Denominations of Christendom are already marching their way down the road to Rome via the ecumenical movement headed up by none other than the poster boy for apostasy Rick Warren (see article from 'aprising ministries" re: his holding hands with Catholicism) along with lower level apostates such as Greg Laurie (lifefest in Wisconsin for example linked below form Galatians 4 blog).  If the ecumenical movement wasn't enough, we have the Inter-Faith movement brought to you by our favorite Wolf Rick Warren.  See the below article I linked from the "Now the end begins" blog about the Chrislam plan Rick Warren started and promoted from Saddleback Community Church. November 17th-19th of last year 2014 saw “Complementarity of Man and Woman,” conference (Linked below) being held at the Vatican with speakers from the  Jewish, Islamic, Buddhist, Hindu, Jaina Shasana, Taoist and Sikh religions as well as Roman Catholics, Mormons, and professing Christians.  "Russell Moore, the president of the Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission of the Southern Baptist Convention, and Saddleback megachurch leader Rick Warren will team up with Roman Catholic Pontiff Francis later this month for an interfaith Vatican conference on marriage and family."

Either you wake up now and avoid these Wolves and False Teachers or be led to the slaughter down the road to apostasy where the blind lead the blind into a ditch.  This road to apostasy will take you under the umbrella of the Last Days False Religion known as "The Great Whore of Babylon".  This whore will be drunk with the blood of the Saints.

Putting the Cart before the Horse

Sometimes as Christians we forget the second part of this scripture about being "harmless as doves"
I don't think we as Christians are to take up arms against our enemies or even be confrontational with unbelievers over cultural/political/social issues. What we need to do is give them the gospel of peace. Trying to get them to change their behavior and stances on political issues without them being saved is a fools errand and it is putting the cart before the horse.

Just as with Ferguson, the script for the Baltimore riots have accomplished the goal of what the Satan desires. Make no mistake, the U.S. is the false prophet of Revelation 13 which will cause all great and small to worship the beast (papacy).... So here is what they have accomplished:

1) A more militarized Police State.
2) Getting the populace used to curfews so when martial comes we as the frog in the bunson burner accept it, unaware that we have been conditioned to do so.
3) The promoting of Lawlessness and rebellion against authority. Matthew 24 :12.
4) Racial divide and hatred. Divide and conquer as they say. Get citizens to turn on each other and the rest of the plan is easy peasy. Matthew 24 :12.
5) This will lead to a call for "Peace and Safety" in our cities which will also call for more confiscation of guns from law abiding citizens. 1st Thessalonians 5:3

How do we as Christians respond to the news events of the day concerning this Civil unrest?

1) Don't buy into the hype! Be careful where you get your news from. There are many News outlets on the Right and the Left that are not credible and only serve to feed sterotypes and hate.
2) Instead of getting into debates taking either side Cops vs. Citizens, use this as an opportunity to be the salt of the earth. Matthew 5:13. Being Salt isn't parroting the opinions of Rush Limbaugh or Sean Hannity but it's giving people the only thing that saves men and that is the pure gospel of Jesus Christ. Ephesians 6 :16.
3) Let your gentleness be known to all men. Philippians 4:5. Love those on both sides while still speaking Bible truth. Cops aren't to abuse their authority and citizens are to have respect for authority. Citizens are certainly not to riot and rebel which is witchcraft. 1st Samuel 15:23.
4) Don't allow others to form opinions for you, even your Pastor who often has his own political hang ups and agenda. If you are so concerned about the decline in morality in the neighborhoods of America then turn off the tv and start getting out in the streets and preaching the gospel. Matthew 24:4. Watching the Dodgers won't save anyone and has no eternal reward. 5) Lastly, know that as Christians our citizenship is in Heaven and we are not to be entangled in the affairs of this life as good soldiers for Christ. 2nd Timothy 2:4

If Manny was a real Christian he would never appear on the Huckster Filthy Money loving Apostate TBN! The Ministers of Satan at TBN have abused their own family in the name of protecting their empire. Again, Franklin Graham time and time again blasts and judges those outside the Church such as Obama and LGBT community but gives wicked abusive money loving Apo...states a free pass. Hey Franklin, why don't you stand up for those poor Christians that have been abused by wicked Pastor's and Institutional Churches. I don't want to hear what you have to say about politics and Non Christians until you speak out against False teachers such as ecumenical money loving Rick Warren and Greg Laurie and abusive money loving Pastor's such as Raul Ries, Skip Heitzig, Mark Driscoll, Bob Coy, child/wife abusing Bob Grenier of CCV and the whole lot of Wolves in sheeps clothing. 

Whom Do we Fear?

 Matthew 10 :28
"And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather fear him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell."
The question is, do we as Christians really believe this or is it just a scripture we like to gloss over?



I submit to you that most American Christians really don't believe this scripture in practice. Why do I say this? Because I see a lot of fear in Christians right now concerning Muslims and ISIS in particular. The Pulpit Preachers have irresponsibly stirred up their congregations with fear mongering of Muslims. Are Muslims the enemy of Christ? YES! Are we as Christians supposed to have any fear of them? NO! Is this country in danger of being taken over by Muslims as Jack Hibbs and Franklin Graham would have you believe? Absolutely Not!!! Those who buy into this fear based agenda don't do their homework and investigate the false right wing pseudo Christian journalistic news reports of ISIS having training camps in Mexico. These have been proven to be utterly false and unverified. The cartels don't stand to gain anything from ISIS setting up in their territory as Mexican cartels are all about the Chedda $$$!
Also, these people buying into the hype don't learn from the past and the same type of fear mongering going on now with the muslims happened with the Japanese in World War 2 and Communists during the cold war. Also, they don't realize that the enemy from within (our own government) poses a far greater threat than some radical likely CIA and British Intelligence created Islamic group. The United Nations and the International Banksters who by the way control the Federal Reserve are far more likely to take this country over than any Islamic group ever will. There is a New World Order coming by way of the false prophet (America) and the antichrist (papacy) really and that my brother's and Sister's poses a far greater threat to us than ISIS.

And even if Muslims did come over here to take over, the question you should ask yourself is, Are you ready to give up your life for Christ and really put into practice Matthew 10:28?
That question my brother's and Sister's is far more important than, "what can our government do to protect us from the radical muslims?"
