2 Corinthians 1:3 (KJV)
3 Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort;
See the above scripture , it is very revealing. It should remove all doubt that Jesus is the literal Son of God. This was written after Jesus life on earth and it is clear that even in heaven Jesus is Jehovah's Son. Jesus and Jehovah are not just role playing a Father/Son relationship as many theologians and pulpit preachers teach but this relationship of Father/Son is very real. Plain scripture teaches that Jehovah God is Jesus literal Father. The philosophy of man has corrupted plain bible teachings on this matter which has lead to a confusing 3 in 1 god. The biblical Godhead is One true God Jehovah and Him whom the One true God sent, The Lord Jesus Christ, His literal Son and their Holy Spirit (mind, breath, wind, power, presence, personality) not a third god. All confusion in spiritual matters comes from 1 place and that is Babylon which literally means confusion. The Catholic trinity doctrine teaches that Jesus as the Son of God is merely a rank and not to be taken literally. First use of the word trinity was in 187 AD by Tertullian but his understanding of a trinity concept wasn't what eventually became the creedal trinity doctrine. Many believe Tertullian was a heretic. Athanasius, who was known to be hateful and also a heretic who brought in greek platonic philosophy into the church, promulgated the origins of the trinity doctrine. He was known to be hateful with those who disagreed with him and he brought the beginning of the trinity doctrine to the council of Nicaea in 325 AD and got the pagan Roman emperor Constantine to side with him. This resulted in the exile of his opponent Dr. Arius. This council only dealt with the diety of Christ not the Holy Spirit. Athanasius taught that Christ was very God and was self existent and co equal and co eternal with the Father. He believed that Christ and the Father were consubstantial. He basically taught that Christ was the Almighty God and literally one with the Father in being and in person. In 381 AD, the council of Constantinople took place and the doctrine of the trinity was established as this council dealt with the diety of the Holy Spirit giving it the same place as God as the Son and the Father.
We can see then that this doctrine of the trinity was established by men who had apostasized from the faith once delivered to the saints. These men brought in greek platonic philosophy and also integrated Roman sun cult teachings such as a 3 in 1 god. Constantine was a sun worshipper and likely was drawn to the idea of a trinity god. The Catholic Church sought the acceptance of their version of Christianity by the pagan sun cults who had a 3 in 1 and 1 in 3 god. The Catholic Church was firmly established by 312 AD and it is obvious that the trinity doctrine is theirs. The Athanasius creed even states that anyone who doesn't believe in the trinity is an anathema. What does the Bible say though about what is required for eternal life? You may be surprised that it is not belief in a trinity!
John 17:3 (KJV)
"And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the ONLY true God, and him whom thou hast sent."
Two divine beings in the above passage not three. Why isn't the Holy Spirit mentioned? Because it is the actual Spirit of Jehovah and Jesus not a third divine person.
1 John 2:22 (KJV)
“Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.”
Scripture above clearly teaches that to deny Jesus as the literal Son of God is antichrist. If you deny this, then you also deny the Father Jehovah. Many sincere Christians don't realize the implications of the trinity doctrine as some do believe that Jesus is God's literal Son however the 3 in 1 god teaching of the trinity actually denies this and teaches that the terms Father and Son are only ranks and Jesus and Jehovah are role playing these titles. While the theologians, philosophers and pulpit preachers who teach this doctrine should no better Jehovah has mercy on those sincere ones who have been lied to and deceived. The answer is to come out of Babylon!
Revelation 18:4 (KJV)
4 And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.
I believe that we are now living in Jesus' millennial Kingdom (Colossians 1:12-13). The true Sabbath of the new covenant is the Davidic King, Jesus Christ (Shiloh). My blessed hope is the Second Advent of Jehovah's only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, at the last day. Those in the Kingdom of Jesus will preach his Davidic Kingship as a present reality on the throne of David in New Jerusalem. Those who call on the name of Jehovah in these last days will be saved (Joel 2:32). Psalm 2:7!
